RMOs may have their actions questioned if there is an adverse and unexpected patient outcome.

All RMOs must either:

Once covered under the CDHB policy, you cannot withdraw until the end of the year unless you resign from your position.

Note: If you hold your own insurance policy, you must notify the Resident Doctors Support Team within two weeks of your commencement, or you will be automatically covered by the CDHB scheme.

Reimbursement of your own policy premium is made in accordance with your collective agreement up to the equivalent of the cost of the CDHB policy, providing you have notified the Resident Doctors Support Team. See Reimbursements.
